Burn the candle for 2-4hrs until wax melts across the entire surface. This will create an even burn for the duration of the candle's life and will help your candle last longer and avoid any tunneling. If melt pool doesn't end across entire surface, try to create a bigger flame by removing the burnt part of the wick with your fingers and relight.

(let wick cool before doing so)

Trim the wick before first use typically 1/8"to 3/16". If the wick is too long it will not ignite properly due to wax not being pulled up into the wick.

Wooden wicks need a little more care - you will need to gently break off any extra burnt wood before each lighting. This is easily done with your fingers and snapping off the burnt wood or ash on the wick.

When burning the candle for a long time, you may notice the flame height getting low. You may need to snap off excess burnt wood along the top of the wick. This should help the flame return to its proper  height.

These particular wooden wicks make a crackling sound for an audible experience. The crackling sound is normal and adds a

uniqueness to our candles!
